Licensed Mental Health Counselor,
Qualified Supervisor
Heidi Guevara, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida and Founder of Harvesting Joy Counseling provides services in Coral Gables, Florida.
Thank you for taking your first step!
It’s important for me to build trust with you at the beginning of our relationship to help you open up and share some of those things that are negatively impacting you today.
To the individual who hears that voice in their head saying, “you are not good enough” or “If I try a little harder, maybe they will notice me”.
Sometimes it feels that those thoughts are true and we live our life limiting ourselves. However, there is always an alternative.
You are not alone!
In therapy, we can work together to undue some of those negative self-bashing thoughts, become self-aware of when it happens, learn healthy thinking patterns to help you feel better and strengthen your communication skills so you can express your needs and wants.
About Heidi:
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Miami in Psychology. Then went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
My passion is working with individuals and couples. My goal is to improve your well-being and impact each of you by planting seeds of hope, self-love, and acceptance. I want to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Individual Therapy:
Although I tailor my approach to fit the needs of each client, the theoretical approach I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Techniques. I assist my clients to become self-aware and identify the negative cognitive distortions that are causing fear, stress, uncertainly, self-doubt, and anger. I love to teach clients skills to undue the default pathways and to develop more positive and healthy thinking patterns.
I am utilizing EMDR therapy in my clinical practice as a trained EMDR Therapist. I am currently working on the certification process. EMDR is a model of therapy that is widely regarded as one of the best and most effective in the treatment of PTSD, phobias, anxiety, and other psychological conditions.
Couples: My Couple’s Therapy approach is influenced by the Gottman Method. It’s effective treatment that helps improve marital relationships, adjustment, and intimacy. My goal is that you learn effective communication skills, learn to be empathetic, remove barriers that lead to conflict and increase affection.
Clinical Supervison: I am a Qualified Supervisor for Mental Health Counselors in the state of Florida. I am currently accepting Mental Health Counseling (MHC) Registered Interns for clinical supervision. Please e-mail me for more information hgharvestingjoycounseling@gmail.com

Mental Health Counselor
Gabrielle Eichler, Mental Health Counselor
A message to you:
I help adolescents and adults gain perspective, clarity, and peace by examining thought patterns and behaviors that may be holding them back and transforming them into something helpful and healthy.
Therapeutic Approaches:
I bring a down-to-earth, nonjudgmental, warm approach to help you work towards your therapeutic goals. My objective is to give you practical tools that you can use outside of the session so that you feel more confident and capable of handling whatever life throws your way. Sessions with me are very collaborative, I want to know what you’re looking to get out of therapy and how you feel comfortable getting there. We’ll break things down together, create a roadmap, develop goals, and help you get back to feeling like yourself.
What to Expect:
Your life feels like it’s moving too fast and is too overwhelming for you to keep up. You feel trapped in your head with thoughts that won't quiet or slow down. You find it hard to connect with friends, family, or colleagues the way that you want to. It’s hard to focus, or you’re tired of feeling like no matter how hard you try, something is holding you back. You find it hard to experience joy in the people and activities that you are used to. If any, or all of these descriptions sound like you, then therapy could definitely help.
Gaining freedom from negative thoughts and patterns is completely possible, even though it may feel hard to envision at first. Though change doesn’t happen overnight, with dedication and perseverance, the change you see in yourself and in your life can be majorly impactful and long-lasting. With time, you will get closer to the version of yourself that gracefully copes with challenges, feels more in control, and more connected to yourself.
